It’s always busy at Showplace in November as we create a spectacular hospitality suite for one of the leading horse stud farms in the world.
Every year for the past decade, we have designed and constructed a stunning array of hospitality provision for Juddmonte Farms to entertain their clients at the annual bloodstock sales event. Taking place at the beginning of December, at the world-renowned Tattersalls’ auction house, the annual draft of fillies and mares offered by Juddmonte Farms is central to the global appeal of the event.
Showplace is proud to provide a unique and striking hospitality facility for Juddmonte to welcome their guests over the seven day event. The combination of different sized Moda structures covers 288m2 and is constructed in a configuration that only modular structures can achieve due to the triangular shape of the designated site.
Every year, our clients decide on a new theme for the interior. Using our tensioned graphic wall system, all the interior walls are utilised to bring this vision to life. Some of the structure walls are adorned with stunning images of Juddmonte’s horses. The structures are subdivided into a variety of themed areas; bespoke bars, counters and central display features are provided, combined with premium carpet and wood effect flooring, which is rarely seen in the event world. There’s no sign of any exhibition cord here!
Critical features such as functional lighting, heating, electrical distribution and kitchen infrastructure, are all provided in house, along with decorative decking frontage and exterior feature lighting.
Although we provide most of the required infrastructure and services inhouse, we work in collaboration with specialist furniture and lighting contractors to provide a very different look and feel by night compared to the daytime ambience.
Juddmonte is one of the leading breeders in the world and has to date bred 111 individual Group/Grade 1 winners of 216 Group/Grade 1 races, including 25 European Classic winners and two US Classic winners. Arguably Juddmonte’s most famous horse, Frankel, is a retired champion British Thoroughbred racehorse. Unbeaten in his 14 race career, Frankel achieved the accolade of highest rated racehorse in the world from May 2011. He was bred by Juddmonte Farms, trained by Henry Cecil, and is owned by Khalid Abdullah. He is named after the renowned, late American trainer, Bobby Frankel.
